What is PBS?

Our Mission

Integration Plus, Inc. provides services to individuals with developmental disabiliites. Located in Columbia, Mo we have been operating since 1991, initially as a grant funded program affiliated with the University of Missouri Special Education Department, and since 2001 as an independently owned and operated program.

Positive Behavioral Supports or PBS is the name of the process that we use to help an individual increase their level of independence by developing and engaging in adaptive socially desirable, safe and age appropriate behaviors. The development of these new skills and behaviors make old undesirable or inappropriate behaviors unneccessary.

Integration Plus, Inc. strives to provide services to families and individuals with developmental disabilities in order to create and maintain a caring, insturctional, and consistent environment leading to the development of skills maximizing socially adaptive and desirable behaviors while minimizing those destructive and stigmaitizing.

Services provided by Integration Plus, Inc. are based on the philosophy of Positive Behavioral Supports (PBS). Services that are provided with the primary goal of developing and maintaining new skills that will further the individual's level of independence and enhance their quality of life.
